What is W.O.?
In a small way: A symbol to facilitate a fear-free coming out for queer people. In a big way: An initiative to make the symbol known and to reach as many people as possible. Many organizations and celebrities are also involved.
Why W.O.?
Because you probably know more queer people than you think. And because coming out still often involves fears of rejection. It's time to show your acceptance.
How?
With the symbol of WELCOMING OUT. Whoever uses the symbol in everyday life, for example as a button, sticker, or even digitally, has their own "WELCOMING OUT" and signals to their surroundings: you can come out to me without fear.
Our basics
Where WELCOMING OUT is written, WELCOMING OUT must also be inside. You don't need expert knowledge on the subject, but a positive reaction to a coming out, respect, and openness to dialogue should be present. More information is available here.
