In the first season of our podcast, we talk to a wide range of guests about personal experiences and coming-out stories, about sexual and gender diversity – and, of course, about what acceptance can mean and make possible for queer people. The conversations are hosted by Hendrik Menken, our host and a TESTIMONIAL OF WELCOMING OUT.

Seven episodes, many different perspectives
Coming-out stories are as diverse as the people who experience them. What can make coming out easier? What role do the people around us and visible acceptance play? And what does it take for queer people to feel confident that this is a place where they can talk openly about who they are – if and when they choose to?
These are just some of the questions we explore in the podcast. And it’s about much more than our guests’ personal coming-out stories. Each of them brings their own experiences, perspectives and topics to the conversation – from activism and politics to business, academia, media and culture.
Seven episodes of our first season have already been released: Our founders Vanessa Lamm and Markus Hoppe kicked things off, followed by Savio David, Maryam Blumenthal, Ingo Bertram from OTTO, Max Rogall and Ken Chabra. In our latest episode, Hendrik talks to Maren Kroymann – actress, satirist and singer, and one of Germany’s most prominent voices for queer visibility for decades.
